Bio

After a three-year hiatus from the industry, Shelly returns to her authentic life passion: connecting with others through fitness.

That passion began in 2002, at the J.C.C. in Indianapolis, when she began teaching a wide array of Pilates, Reformer and Bootcamp classes to an even wider array of people. As both her teaching certifications and clientele grew, Shelly and two friends decided to branch out on their own. In 2011, the trio opened The Dailey Method in Broad Ripple.

While technically a barre and cycle studio, Shelly and her team spent eight years turning The Dailey Method into so much more; it became a close-knit community built on love, sweat, and intense thigh work. However, after the birth of her fourth (and certainly final!) child, Shelly sold the studio in 2019 and left the fitness world entirely to focus on her other life passion, her family.

When she’s not teaching class, she is most likely picking up/dropping off one of her kids somewhere across town. On the off chance she’s not doing either of those things, she enjoys dirty martinis and walking her yellow Lab, Oliver.
